Ash Creek Project Tour - RSVP Form
Date: May 31, 2017
Time: 3:00 - 6:00 pm
Place: Riverview Park, Independence
You are invited to participate in a guided tour of several sites along the Ash Creek Restoration Project area, and get a first-hand look at the successes and challenges in restoring the health of this stretch of Ash Creek. Now in its third year, the Ash Creek Restoration Project is aimed at controlling invasive weeds and planting native vegetation along 2.8 miles of this Willamette River tributary that flows through the cities of Monmouth and Independence. Join LWC staff, volunteers, project participants and community members as we tour a few of the planting areas at Riverview Park, Monmouth Public Works, Talmadge Middle School, and a private landowner's property. This is a unique opportunity to get an in-depth view of an ongoing restoration project located in the heart of your community!
