**Light refreshments will be provided**
Sponsored by the Spirit Mountain Community Fund, this workshop is the first event in the Luckiamute Watershed Council's "Love Your Watershed" series! Together with the Glenn Gibson and Rickreall Watershed Councils, we are proud to offer you a chance to learn about some of the ways you can help protect the health of our streams and rivers with permeable pavers.
Permeable paving is becoming more popular among home and business owners -- not only because it looks great, but also because of its many benefits to the environment! Because permeable pavers allow water to slowly seep into the ground through several filtering layers, this type of surface helps reduce the amount of stormwater flowing into our waterways, and filters out water pollutants.
At this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how stormwater management is an important part of watershed health, and get a first-hand look at several permeable paver options for your home or business. There will be live demonstrations of how permeable pavers work, and experts available to answer your questions about stormwater management on your property.
