Did you know that less than 1% of oak-dominated habitats are protected in parks or reserves? Private landowners hold the key to maintaining this important natural legacy. Sue Reams, Soil Conservationist with the Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), will present the history of human interaction with our oak woodlands, their incredibly diverse ecology, and ways that landowners can get started with protecting and restoring oak habitat on their land. Admission is free, but registration is required due to limited seating capacity. RSVP below to secure your spot!
Admission is FREE!*
*We are suggesting a donation of $5.00 to help cover our costs to bring this event to your community*
