Pioneer Park is the City of Independence's first park, and is located at the junction of South Fork and Mainstem Ash Creek. Sign up below to help remove debris from this area and help us keep our streams clean and trash-free! 

Pioneer Park Clean-Up Event

Tuesday, October 8
Time: 9 am - 1 pm
Place: Pioneer Park (150 S. 7th St, Independence)

The project area will be at the junction of the South Fork and Main Stem of Ash Creek at Pioneer Park. Most of the trash and debris that will be removed includes large, bulky items - including tires, railroad ties and chunks of concrete. The City of Independence will bring their crane truck and will be assisting with the removal of the larger and heavier pieces.

We will provide tools, gloves and a water cooler for water bottle fill-ups, but please bring your own water bottle for the event. Snacks will be available as well!
