South Fork Pedee Project Tour
Come witness one of the highlights of our South Fork Pedee project activities - large wood placement! The LWC has hired contractors to harvest large logs from nearby Forests Forever land and place them within the creek, which will help improve habitat health.
The site is located near where
Pedee Creek Road meets Bald Mountain Road.
The tour date has now been confirmed for Friday, October 18, starting at 1:30pm.
If you are interested in attending this tour (approximately 2 hours), please RSVP below and indicate whether you will meet us at Pedee Memorial Evangelical Church
(see map on the right)
at 1:30pm or at the LWC office (for carpooling) at 12:30pm.
The access road to the site will be a gravel logging road, but we will also have to walk through the woods to access the site. Please come prepared for walking on uneven ground, and potentially through mud and trailing blackberry!
