Thank you for registering for the September 3 Fall Bird Walk in Soap Creek Valley! Please note that this event will involve walking across rough and uneven ground through oak savanna, meadows, wetlands and riparian forest, so make sure to dress for the weather, wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes, and don't forget your water bottle. You are also invited to bring a bag lunch and a lawn chair for an optional picnic lunch at the schoolhouse after the bird walk.
Be sure to bring your binoculars, bird guide, and/or camera, if you have them. We will also have extra binoculars and bird guides for use during the event.

Please beware of Poison Oak!
Poison oak has a distinctive three-leaf arrangement, with rounded "teeth" along the outer leaf edges.

In the fall, poison oak turns a bright red color, making it easier to spot in the understory and climbing up trees.
