Bilingual Fall Bird Walk

Place:   Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge
              10995 Oregon 22, Dallas
Cost:    $12 per participant* (Lunch provided)
               Kids under the age of 12 are free!

Join us for a bilingual bird walk in Spanish and English at Baskett Slough National Wildlife Refuge. We will hike along the Rich Guadagno Memorial Loop Trail with naturalists Joel Geier and Beatrice Serrano. Along the way, we'll keep an eye out for several kinds of wintering and resident birds among the oak savanna, forest and prairie areas of the refuge. From the viewpoint at the top of the trail, we'll overlook the wetlands which we can visit for closer looks at the waterfall. Lunch will be provided by our favorite local Independence bakery, Ovenbird!

Caminaremos a lo largo de Rich Guadagno Memorial Loop con los naturalistas Joel Geier y Beatrice Serrano. En el camino, vamos a estar pendientes de varios tipos de pájaros invernantes y residentes entre las áreas de sabana de roble, bosque y pradera del refugio.
