Spring Bird Walk at J2E Tree Farm - May 6, 2023
J2E Bird Walk Report, by Joel Geier (May 6, 2023)
Today's Luckiamute Watershed Council bird walk at J2E Tree Farm started off in fine drizzle but ended with reasonably fine weather.
We heard many singing warblers, and eventually managed to see a few of them. We also observed Red-winged Blackbirds, a Steller's Jay, and a Rufous Hummingbird carrying/gathering nesting material (grass for the blackbirds, rootlets for the jay, and cattail fluff for the hummingbird).
One notable non-bird seen by some participants was a Striped Skunk.
Thanks to Dave Ehlers of J2E Tree Farms for hosting the event, and to Suzanne Teller for organizing.
Identified Species: 48
